Falling Leaves

I'm back, it's still Friday, and this is my second post today!  I spent some time today in my craft room, I was working on some upcoming projects, and decided to make a fall project.  There have been so many cute fall cards I've been seeing on line, and I decided to play along.  Here is what I came up with:

It's a pretty simple card,  but I am pleased with how it turned out.  The leaves are from B is for Boy.  I did lots of inking on this card, not something I usually do - I used some Tim Holtz Distress ink in Walnut.  I stamped the sentiment in the same ink.  The sentiment is from My Craft Spot's Happy Fall.  The paper is a mix of Recollections, SU and Bazzil, and the ribbon is from Michael's.

A challenge or two for my card:

Cardz TV Stamps - Bling it Up Day 2

Happy Saturday everyone!  Cardz TV  has a new challenge that started yesterday.  You need to create a project with LOTS of BLING!!  Yesterday I created a cute set of Christmas cards that you can see HERE. Today I have a new project for you - a card I created for one of Andrew's friends for their birthday.  It is more subtle in it's blingyness.  Here it is:

A few months ago, I created this R2D2 on my Gypsy Girl, using shapes from George and Basic Shapes.  I decided not to reinvent the wheel, so I used the same cut again.  This card is a 4x4 card.  The paper is all from Michael's except the sparkly silver paper which is old Creative Memories that I have hoarded for about 6 years - sadly it is almost gone.  The little gem is from Dollorama and the perfect sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps More Encouraging Thoughts.

Be sure to come play with us at Cardz TV.  You have until Thursday the 27th to play and the winner gets to choose a set of Cardz TV Stamps all their own!

I am hoping to get into my craftroom today to play, I got 2 new cartridges in the mail yeasterday, and I want to break them in.  If the stars all align, I will see you back here tomorrow with a new project.  Hope you all have a great weekend!

A challenge or 2 for R2D2:
ATCs and Cards With Attitude - anything goes
Avadares - make it sparkle

Cardz TV Stamps - Bling it Up!

Happy Friday everyone!  This is my second post today.  If you're looking for my Pause Dream Enjoy Challenge playtime project then click HERE.  We have a new challenge at Cardz TV Stamps.  Mary challenged us to Bling It Up!  Who doesn't love a little bit of sparkle??  Here is what I came out with:

I decided to make a little set of 3x3 cards.  I love making these little card sets, they come in so handy as gift tags.  I used one of my favorites of Mary's stamps Classic Christmas.  I love the gorgeous font and the sentiments are so simple and about the true meaning of Christmas.  I decided to crack open my Create a Critter 2.  I just got this a few days ago, and the critters are so cute - my only problem?  The Gypsy has not been updated yet and I can't link CAC2 to my Gypsy Girl yet.  I had forgotten how time consuming it is to create without my Gypsy - hopefully Provocraft will update her soon :)

I cut all of the critters at 2 3/4 inches, just to simplify my life slightly.  I stickled up some of their accessories , and used some rhinestones that I picked up at my local Dollorama.

I just love this little snowman, isn't he a cutie??  The cardstock I used is all from Michaels.  The patterned paper is (I think) from K and Co - it was in my scrap box, but I'm pretty sure...

The green ribbon is from Michael's.  They make my go to skinny ribbon.   I especially love when it's on for 3 for a dollar ;)

Isn't this Santa teddy the cutest?  I think I make make a few more sets of these.  They come together so quickly and easily!

So, hop on over to Cardz TV, see what the amazing DT came up with to inspire you, and get BLINGY!!  The challenge runs from today through Sept 27th and the winner will get a set of Cardz TV stamps of their choice!  Lucky ducky :)

Paper Playtime - Punches

Happy Monday everyone :)  It is Say it With Sentiments Challenge Day over at Paper Playtime.  Today Janis challenged us to make a project with our punches.  Easy, huh?  Well, not for me... I don't really use my punches that much - terrible, I know.  Here is what I came up with:

A few weeks ago, I took a class at my LSS The Cutting Garden, we made a lovely album.  I decided to make one at home for this project, because it used lots of punches :)  The patterned paper is all from a 6x6 pad from Prima Paper Pad called Nature Garden.  The yummy pink ribbon is from The Cutting Garden.  The flowers are from a die from MFT.  The bird is a SU punch, I also used a SU edge punch on the tan colored strip at the side of each page.  I used my Tim Holtz Tea Dye distress ink.  I also used some Pink liquid pearls.

I cut the mats and tags on my Cricut.  I used an EK Success corner punch to make the pink little corner pieces on the mt on the left page.  Again the tan pieces on the edge of both pages is stamped with a SU edge punch and the pocket on the left hand page uses a different SU edge punch.  The cardstock is all from Michael's.

Don't you love my sentiments?  They are all from a gorgeous Fiskars stamp set called Good Times.  I bought it specifically to make mini albums.  The corner punch this time is a SU punch, and I used the DU bird again. All the ribbon that I used on the tags is from Michael's.

More SU bird punches, the EK success corner punch and edge punch is SU.  I have used this punch on the edge of each page of this album, but it shows up so well in the pink paper.  On the last page is actually a little book.  I just cut a piece of cardstock at 8 1/2 x 5.  I folded them in half and then pierced two holes in the middle along the "spine" and fed some twine through the 2 holes to make it into a little book.  Lots of extra space to put some pictures at the end of the album.  Every stamp I used in this album is from the Fiskar's Good Time set - it is the PERFECT mini album stamp set.
I hope you hop over to Paper Playtime, see what all the crafting divas came up with to inspire you, and play along with us.  The Robin's Nest is going to give one lucky winner $15 to spend in their store :)

Make It Monday - anything goes

Pause Dream Enjoy - Red and Yellow

Happy Friday everyone!  It is challenge day over at Pause Dream Enjoy Challenges.  Today Janis challenged us to make a project using red and yellow.  I must admit, this one was a but of a head scratcher for me.  I use red and pink for accent colors, but rarely as the main colors in my project.  After a bit of thinking, I came up with the perfect idea.  Here it is:

I have always wanted to use this cute sentiment from Scrappy Moms, but never had the right project.  Well here is is.  This little noodle bowl is from Create a Critter - which I just love - it is still my favorite cartridge, though I have ordered CAC2, so we'll see if I love it as much.  The tag is from Plantin Schoolbook.  The paper is from Bazzil and Recollections.   I doodled around with my Sakura Jelly Roll pens.  I think it's super cute!

I hope you drop over to PDE Challenges, see what our amazing DT came up with to inspire you and play along with us - there is a chance to win a prize!  One lucky person will win 3 items from the Squigglefly Store!

Cute isn't it??  This kitty is from Mini Monsters.  I used the card feature, and voila!  An awesome shape card!  She came together so quickly, and is the perfect Halloween card for one of the kids.

I doodled around on her with my Sakura jelly roll pens.  The cutie stamp is from My Pink Stamper's Spooky Puns.  Isn't it perfect for this card?

Exploring Cricut - People

Happy Monday everyone!  If you are looking for my Cardz TV Christmas Planner click HERE.  It is challenge day over at Exploring Cricut!  Today's challenge is to create any card, layout or papercraft with any cartirdge in any color you want.  The twist is, you must include a person cut from a cartridge.  I LOVE cutting out people, it gives me the chance to use my super cute Peachy Keen  faces :)  Here is what I came up with:

I made this cute little card for my son for his first day back to school.  My kids LOVE school, and I want to keep that fro as long as possible :)  This little guy is cut from the Recess cartridge.  He was supposed to have short curly hair, which doesn't look even a bit like my son, so I changed his hair for another hair available on the cartridge.  It now looks like my son.  The "Back to School" sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps' School Days.  I decided I wanted the book to have a title - I found the Water World sentiment on Cardz TV Stamps A Day at the Beach stamp set.  I think it is so cute!  The patterned paper, ribbon and cardstock are all from Michael's

Hop on over to Exploring Cricut, see what the DT came up with to inspire you, and play along with us!  I can't wait to see what you create :)
